EMERGENCY CLOSING NOTIFICATION 

During inclement weather, each member of the church community should be familiar with the notification procedures for school closing or late opening information.

The church community will be notified the following ways:

1. The greeting on the church’s voice mail will be updated no later than 2 hours prior to the start of service or an impacted event.  The greeting will inform callers whether the church will be closing or will be delaying its opening.

3. The Church will notify the radio stations listed below. Please be aware it can take up to an hour or more to notify all stations and have the announcement aired as many other organizations are phoning in their closing notifications to a limited number of people taking this information.

4. The Unity Church in Frederick Web site, www.unityfrederick.org, will not announce closing information at this time.

Radio and TV Stations

In the event of an emergency closing of the church due to hazardous weather conditions, the following radio stations will broadcast delayed openings and cancellations.

All stations will announce the name of the church if there are cancellations.
