Emergency Closing Notification 

Weekday services. classes and events will follow the Frederick County School decisions.
If school opening is delayed, the office will open by 11a.
If schools are closed, the office will be closed.
If schools close early, the office will close early.
If schools are closed for a professional day or holiday, please check by calling the office to see if we are able to come in.
Please know we will monitor the telephone and email ~ we will be working from home!

Any changes in weekend services, events or classes will be posted here, in a Uni-2-Know type email and on the phone message. 

During inclement weather, each member of our community should be familiar with the notification procedures for school closing or late opening information.

The community will be notified the following ways:

1. The greeting on the office voice mail will be updated no later than 2 hours prior to the start of service or an impacted event.  The greeting will inform callers whether Unity in Frederick will be closing or will be delaying its opening.

2. The staff will notify the radio stations listed below. Please be aware it can take up to an hour or more to notify stations and have the announcement aired as other organizations are phoning in their closing notifications to a limited number of people taking this information.

3. The Unity in Frederick Web site, www.unityfrederick.org, will announce closing information and a Uni-2-Know type email will be sent.

Radio and TV Stations

In the event of an emergency closing due to hazardous weather conditions, the following radio stations will broadcast delayed openings and cancellations.

All stations will announce that Unity in Frederick services, events and/or classes are cancelled if necessary.
